At Tuesday’s Sustainable Real Estate Conference Robert Fox Jr., partner at Cook+Fox, talked a lot about biomimicry, the idea of looking to nature for solutions in a man made world. He described a product called Entropy, a modular carpet system which reflects an adherence to the randomness in nature. No two pieces are alike, rather it celebrates every module being different, which is inherently more flexible and more sustainable.

Yesterday afternoon, on a rainy Sunday in New York, I finally got around to checking out the Small Scale, Big Change: New Architectures of Social Engagement exhibit at MoMA.
