  • Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC): The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation was created in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 by Governor Pataki and then-Mayor Giuliani to help plan and coordinate the rebuilding and revitalization of Lower Manhattan, defined as everything south of Houston Street.
  • Lower Manhattan Public Information Campaign provides people who live in, work in and visit Lower Manhattan with essential news and information about the area and its recovery. It is led by the City of New York in partnership with the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, New York State, and the Federal Government in conjunction with partner agencies and organizations at the local, state, and federal level.
  • Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City: Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) is a not-for-profit housing organization that partners with community residents, financial institutions and government to increase and protect investment in underserved low-and moderate-income neighborhoods.
  • New York City Census FactFinder provides quick and easy access to New York City population information from the 2000 U.S. Census. Profiles are presented for community districts, individual census tracts and user-defined groups of census tracts.
  • New York City Housing and Neighborhood Information System (NYCHANIS): NYCHANIS provides local housing organizations, community development groups, and the general public, with the data they need to monitor neighborhood conditions, plan programs that will improve their housing and neighborhoods, and secure funding for these programs. With NYCHANIS, data is easily accessible to users through a searchable, web-based database.
